2025/08/24 - Declaration of Summer Retreat Holiday and Outing
Yesterday, on the 29th day of the Tibetan calendar, the teachings and discussions on the Vinaya were held in the evening during the confession ceremony. On the 30th day of the Tibetan calendar, the purification of downfalls and blessings preceded the third continuous session, followed by seeking forgiveness and appointing the confessor. In essence, the confession of downfalls for the sake of pure Dharma and the material confession for the sake of opening the door to gains were performed. This morning, on the first day of the seventh lunar month, the offering of gratitude through incense and libation to the Three Roots, the wealth deities, and the local deities who protect the white side, along with abandoning attachment to places and symbolizing the relief of fatigue, was performed with peaceful, gentle, and mindful pilgrims. The 38th summer retreat of this monastery, presided over by the incomparable Kyabje Khenchen and choektrul Rinpoches, has been successfully completed with the flawless practice of the Vinaya throughout the beginning, middle, and end of the summer, increasing the activities of study and recitation, and being virtuous and blessed in a perfect manner.
