2025/08/31 - The vows of Novice and full Bhikshu and were bestowed.

As requested by Bokar Shedra and drupda community, today, the 8th day of the 7th Tibetan month, elaborate offerings were made before the statue of Lord Buddha in the Bokar Ngedhon Choekhor Ling Temple. In the presence of Kyabje Khenchen Rinpoche, the abbot and Vinaya master, along with a complete Sangha, over 130 male and female lay devotees from Bokar Shedra, Drupda and nunneries were ordained as novices, and over 40 novices were ordained as fully ordained monks. At that time, about 70 lay devotees and novices from Palden Shangpa's Sonam Dar monastery, Druk Lho Drak Nyi De Rabten Ling, and Rumtek Karma Thubten Chokhor Ling, totaling over 200 male and female lay devotees, were kindly granted the vows of novice and full monk. He gave extensive teachings on the importance of cherishing the precious vows of prātimokṣa, the foundation of all qualities and the root of the teachings, like one's eye. Thus, he performed a great deed in upholding the precious doctrine of Vinaya.
