2026/08/17 - 22nd Commemoration of the Parinirvana of the previous Bokar Dorjechang

Today, on a special day, we commemorate the 22nd year of the passing of our supreme guide, the incomparable kindness of the glorious lama, the true lord of the wheel, whose name is difficult to utter, yet for the sake of the dharma, we mention it, His Eminence, the revered Vajradhara Karma Ngendön Chökyi Lodrö Palzangpo. Today is a day of remembrance for the parinirvana of his sacred form in the realm of ultimate reality. On this occasion, in the presence of the great golden reliquary, under the guidance of His Eminence the Choktrul Rinpoche and Dorlop Chö Sang Choktrul Rinpoche, we offer prayers and meditations through the Kagyu Gurmatsa and the great assembly hall, and in the presence of His Eminence the Khenchen Rinpoche and Dorlop Choktrul Sangye Tenzin Rinpoche, we perform the Shangpa Prayer Ritual and other profound and extensive offerings and prayers for the liberation of the lama's soul.

On the auspicious occasion of Parinirvana Diwas of Previous Bokar Rinpoche, the BVMS family gathered to mark this sacred day, Our Trust hosted a special feast for all our wonderful students, teachers, and staff. In the spirit of new beginnings and guided wisdom, we are also thrilled to officially announce the appointment of our new School Director, Bokar Choktrul Rinpoche who is unmistaken reincarnation of previous Bokar Rinpoche.
